Taking care of your hair
When washing your hair use a gentle shampoo and conditioner. Having a healthy diet also helps your hair health. Be careful with your hair when brushing and combing it, when drying your hair dry it gently with a soft towel and use a wide- tooth comb to untangle the knots.Wash your hair after exercising or swimming Wearing ponytails or braids to tight irritates your scalp. Be very careful when straightening, curling and blow drying your hair these thing can sometimes dry out your hair and irritate your scalp.
Hair colour/Melanin
Your hair colour comes from melanin. If you have black or brown hair you have more melanin than red or blond hair. As you get older you lose melanin in your hair making it turn grey or white. Usually a kids hair colour and type is determined by one parent on both.
Follicles
Some hair follicles produces curly hair, but some follicles produce straight hair. Follicles also determine if your hair will be thick or thin.
